FT SCR2000 smart card reader is designed for various usages of smart card applications,
acceptable for both SIM size cards and full credit card size cards. Be ISO7816 compliant
and T=0/T=1 asynchronous protocol support, FT SCR2000 is applied to any computer
with an available standard USB port. A built-in dual-color LED indicator
provides comprehensive messages to users for status indication. The slim shape makes
it easy to carry and plug without additional spaces requirement to your desktop.
PC/SC ready drivers are provided with FT SCR2000.
This Smart Card reader can be used to any standard smart card for reading and writing
such as ACOS cards. Without MYKAD SDK this smart card reader will not be able to
read MYKAD information!

Cash rewards shopping with MyKad.
KUALA LUMPUR: Shoppers now have more reason to bring their MyKad during shopping
trips. It can earn them cash rewards with every purchase. MyKad is now a primary
tool for a new loyalty and rewards programme called Sahabat 1Malaysia organised
by the Information, Communications, Culture and Arts Ministry and Radio Televisyen
Malaysia (RTM). Shoppers will be rewarded with cash that will be credited into their
MyKad via a virtual bank when they purchase items from any of the 500 merchants
in the programme.

Fine for uncollected MyKad? KOTA BARU: The National Registration Department is mulling
over a proposal to fine those who renew but fail to collect their MyKad. Deputy
Home Minister Datuk Abu Seman Yusop said the number of uncollected MyKad has been
increasing and that it costs the Government RM28 to reproduce each card. “In Kelantan
alone, there are 16,044 MyKad which have not been collected. Maybe they have found
their MyKad after losing it and applying for a new one.
